The department of Medical Parasitology in Cochin Hospital, Paris Descartes University  has of a team of around 25 persons (a medical team of one professor, 3 associate professors, 3 part time hospital practitioners, 3-4 residents and 2 medical students; a technical team of 12). The department is involved in several fields of activity: outpatients clinic for travel medicine, diagnostic lab for parasites and fungi, National reference center for Trichinella and accredited lab for the diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis. It has developed molecular diagnosis for toxoplasmosis, leishmaniasis, free-living amoebas & worms. We have a 400 square meters lab with all the expected facilities.
